Chicago, Illinois 11/10/11 & 12/10/11

Not knowing much about Chicago I decided to spend a couple of days here and have a decent look around.

Millenium Park, is a 25 acre park in the middle of the city on the edge of lake Michigan, its known as a “Green roof” due to the fact that it conceals ugly stuff the city needs like a railway and a bunch of car parks underneath. The famous sculpture “Cloud Gate” lives there:

I was pretty lucky that it was such a nice day. I dont think I realised that water mass that is lake Michigan was a lake and not just an inlet from the North Atlantic, it is massive I even saw a large cruise type ship moored at the docks.
